Outta Bonnie Experience |

In October of 2003 I was recovering from an illness and subsequent surgery. Not being able to drive at the time, my wonderful girlie friend drug me out of the house to a local bead and gem show. Being one who is addicted to shiny things (I hope I don't come back as a trout in another life) I experienced a massive sensory overload. I "oohed" and "ahhed", looked and touched, and finally settled on some gemstones. Once home, I realized that I had no idea what I was doing so off to the library I went. Soon I was happily stringing bracelets and necklaces fit for a queen; at least I thought so. Then IT happened. If it hasn't happened to you, it will. Anyone who has cable or satellite television knows already. This "resource" has increased the average household emergency visit frequency by 20%. It has caused divorce and the loss of digits; It's the "Do It Yourself" channel. I'm sure that there are more success stories than failure. I like to think of myself as "a success in progress." On one of the craft shows the guest Mark Lareau, who has written a wonderful book titled All Wired Up, was demonstrating caging, wrapping and wirework techniques. It was the most extraordinary thing that I'd ever seen. Needless to say, I had that book in my hot little hands by that afternoon. The rest is a success in progress. The wire used in my products is either sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper) or fine silver (99.9% silver) unless otherwise noted. If you see a pattern that you like but the color scheme doesn't float your boat, let me know. I also do custom work. Just like natural stones, all of my pieces are one of a kind. I can do close reproductions of pieces but not exact replicas. I do my best to file and smooth out snags and burrs. The nature of many of my designs may cause a "run in" with your clothing. Loose weave sweaters, certain knits or meshed clothing may not be suitable to wear with some pieces. Please take that into consideration when ordering. For ordering information, custom requests and questions about any of my pieces send me an email. |
